Scope

This policy covers somtiger.com and its subdomains. It is a template written for a demonstration site and is not legal advice; a live publication should have it reviewed by counsel in each market it operates in.

What we collect

• Information you give us: email address for the newsletter, messages you send the newsroom.
• Technical data: device type, browser, approximate region derived from IP address.
• Usage data: pages viewed and time on page, used in aggregate to prioritise coverage.

What we do not do

We do not sell personal data. We do not build advertising profiles from the content of messages sent to the newsroom.

Cookies

Strictly necessary cookies keep the site working, including your language preference, which is stored in your browser. Analytics and advertising cookies, where used, are optional and can be refused without losing access to articles.

Retention

Newsletter addresses are kept until you unsubscribe. Correspondence with the newsroom is kept for as long as it has journalistic value and then deleted.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to privacy@somtiger.com.

Journalistic exemption

Some requests may be limited where material is held for journalism and disclosure would compromise a source or an investigation.
